ADVOCACY IN ACTION
Letters to lawmakers, agencies, and stakeholders advocating for policies that affect healthy aging.

Submitted comments recommending that HHS refine their research objectives to include a measurement agenda for community connection, social prescribing, referrals to social programs, and non-clinical supports for healthy aging.

Submitted comments discouraging the Federal Communication Commission from adopting rules that terminate, sunset, or geographically restrict the E-Rate Universal Service Program.

Submitted comments recommending rules requiring standardized and centralized public access to prior authorization data, meaningful transparency requirements to Part D drugs, and numeric count reporting of PA activities by service.

Submitted comments on the 2026 New Dietary Guidelines and the importance of aligning guidelines with the most current research on nutrition for health and well-being of older adults.

Submitted comments urging DOE to revise the proposed definition of “professional program” to explicitly include licensure-qualifying clinical programs that meet the statutory of “professional” and thereby maintain access to higher student borrowing limits.
